Bacoor learners benefit from DICT project

TRECE MARTIRES, Cavite (PIA) - Students and learners from various schools in Bacoor City will benefit from the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) project under its Digital Education Program and Cybersafe Learning for Education Project.

DICT recently donated Information and Technology (ICT) devices such as laptops that will help the students expand their knowledge particularly in advance technology.

The Cybersafe Learning for Education Project is a component of the DICT’s Digital Education Program (DEP) which aims to optimize the use of ICT for the enhancement of cyber education and promotion of digital literacy.

The project also seeks to develop cyberspace learning hygiene for schools to protect students and teachers from various cyber threats.

DICT thru DEP helps facilitate ICT - enabled education in partnership with the local government units (LGUs) during the pandemic.

Bacoor City led by Mayor Lani Revilla expressed gratitude to DICT for the donation of laptops which will be distributed to student beneficiaries of the DEP program.

The first pilot project of the said program is for tablets intended to benefit the students from the University of Makati. (Ruel Francisco/with reports from Bacoor LGU)
