BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Secretary Fortunato Dela Peña recently praised the Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) for the sustained success of their partnership programs.
“NVSU has transformed in carrying out the so-called mandate of the university of instruction, research, extension, and production. I am happy about the progress of our programs here,” he said.
Dela Peña who visited NVSU and technology stakeholders said he wanted to see the implementation of the 2016-2022 DOST-NVSU collaborative programs for the public.
He said the partnership programs are contributing to the attainment of the national government’s agenda particularly on improving competitiveness and value chain, development of world-class human resource and science and technology and creative arts.
Dela Peña stressed the importance of NVSU’s technology researches for the benefit of the citrus industry designed to improve the quality and productivity of citrus in the province.
He also led the awarding of recognition to the students of the Philippine Science High School (PSHS) Cagayan Valley Campus who won the Gold Award in the International Level of Shell’s - The Bright Ideas Challenge 2021 Global Recognition under the category Exceptional NXplorers Project by a student team and the turn-over of the Innovation Guidebook for Micro-Small and Medium Enterprises at the NVSU Mini Theater.
