NOCPPO gears up troops for election duty

NEGROS OCCIDENTAL (PIA) –- Some 1396 police personnel from the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office will be deployed to render election duties on May 9.

NOCPPO Acting Provincial Director Police Colonel Leo B. Pamittan conducted an inspection, May 4, to about 230 personnel from the Provincial Headquarters at Camp Alfredo M Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City.

The troops will be deployed to the different city and municipal police stations as augmentation force for election duties.

Pamittan reminded the troops to follow the Dos and Don’ts stipulated in the Quick Look Guide provided by NOCPPO and most especially to be vigilant in performing the mission.

“Always be mindful, dapat aware kayo lagi (you have to be aware all the time),” he said.

After the inspection, the troops were directed to report to their respective stations where they will render their duty for the May 9, 2022 National and Local Elections.

A Quick Look Guide was given to each contingent to be deployed for election duties which will serve as a guide containing the basic instructions, duties and responsibilities and emergency hotline numbers for any election eventuality.

During the inspection, Lt. Col. Wilfredo Abordo, Deputy Police Provincial Director for Administration and Lt. Col. Nazer Canja, Deputy Provincial Director for Operations with the NOCPPO Provincial Staff, assisted Pamittan to check the completeness of the equipment and paraphernalia of the policemen based on the approved checklist published by the Philippine National Police.
