CABARROGUIS, Quirino (PIA) - - To promote industrial peace in the workplace, the Department of Labor and Employment - Quirino Field Office (DOLE-QFO) recently conducted labor education seminars as part of its Labor Education and Employment Services (LEES).

Through DOLE's Labor Relations Unit, a labor education seminar was conducted and it was participated by 103 employees from MJBJ Hatchery.

Hezelyn Nera, DOLE-QFO information officer - designate, workers were educated on General Labor Standards, Occupational Safety and Health Standards, Family Welfare Program and the labor department’s latest issuances.

Also, a Labor Education for Graduating Students (LEGS) was initiated for some 196 graduating students in Aglipay.

The students were given lectures on basic information about their rights as future members of the workforce as well as new learnings on how to prepare themselves in the world of work.

The Labor Education and Employment Services (LEES) is a program of DOLE to enlighten, educate and provide knowledge on the rights and responsibilities of workers and employers to attain harmonious labor-management relations. (OTB/TCB/PIA Quirino)
