TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan (PIA) – The Cagayan United Doctors Medical Center (CUDMC), in celebration of its first anniversary, has offered free consultation and  a 10 percent discount on all diagnostic procedures and laboratory examinations for the whole month of May 2022. 

CUDMC’s Acting Chief Operations Officer Jonathan Barangan said  the opening of the hospital last year, amid the continuous surge of the Covid-19 pandemic, was timely in bringing better healthcare and state-of-the-art facilities to provide exceptional service to its clients.

“We continue to soldier on, work together, improve our services, move forward to each day, praying that tomorrow would be a better day for all of us,” Barangan said.

Barangan said that the CUDMC, in its drive for excellence in fulfilling its core competencies -- making lives, healthier, easier, and safer -- has created new norms, especially health, and safety guidelines to ensure that the hospital remains a haven for its patients and hospital staff

“I am proud to have witnessed your dedication, your innate compassion, and your determination to help our patients in this time of the pandemic,” Barangan said to the hospital staff in his opening remarks.

For his part, Dr. Anthony Abogado, member of the Board of Directors, acknowledged the administrators who shared their resources to build the hospital, and hospital employees who extended their services to keep the patients safe.

"We have succeeded because of our efforts to build this hospital, and it is very difficult to open a hospital due to the pandemic, and considering the ever-changing alert level imposed by the government," he said.

“I hope we continue to sacrifice to improve and enhance the CUDMC's service to our patients,” Abogado added as he expressed his gratitude to all clients for their continued patronage.

The month-long anniversary activities include Zumba Exercises, which are available every Tuesday and Friday at 4:30 in the afternoon at the CUDMC’s 5th floor. A food fair is scheduled on May 11 to 23, and a poster-making contest on May 12.

Other activities are Operation Tuli, Medical Mission Personal Hygiene, First Aid Lecture, and Emergency Orientation on Fire, Earthquake, Water Ingress, and other disaster information scheduled on Sundays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The CUDMC also offers various screening packages for out-patient executive checkups including those on pre-employment health, cardio-metabolism, arrhythmia workup, hypertension workup, diabetes screenings, golden health, liver cancer, basic senior male and women's health packages, OB or maternity care on all trimesters.
