Mine firm pays over P53M taxes to LGU Quezon

QUEZON, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - The local government unit here recently received more than P53 million as payment of taxes and fees from the FCF Minerals Corporation, a British mining firm here.

Mayor Dolores Binwag said their local government unit has recently received the corporation’s payment for its Mayor's Permit and other Regulatory Fees for 2022  amounting to  P508, 819.72,  Real Property Tax for the First Quarter – P 7, 769,845.86; and Local Business Tax for the First and Second Quarter of 2022 – P 44,924,601.12.

James Carmichael, FCF Minerals Corporation Country Manager said a total of P53, 203,266.70 has been received by the Municipal Treasurer’s Office (MTO) from the company.

“This is part of our company’s corporate responsibility for our host  Municipal Local Government Unit (MLGU),” he said.

Carmichael said the firm has more than P98 million allocated funds for the implementation of the 2022 Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) to the host and neighboring communities, including three municipalities namely; Quezon and Kasibu in  Nueva Vizcaya and Diffun in Quirino.(OTB/BME/PIA NVizcaya)
