De Luna said the two-lane bridge project has 20 spans from Barangay Anquiray to Barangay Abolo of Amulung town.

The Amulung bridge project, which is worth P1.2 billion, was funded through the General Appropriations Act, however, De Luna said they requested an additional P500 million budget to cover the materials cost adjustments and the construction of its road connectivities on both sides.

It is one of the major infrastructure projects under the Build Build Build program of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte through the initiative of 3rd district Representative Joseph "Jojo" Lasam-Lara.

Lara, in an earlier interview, said the bridge will not only benefit the people of Amulung but other municipliaties in the western side of the Cagayan River as well as it serves as alternate route and gateway in going to Solana, Piat, Tuao, Enrile and even those going to Isabela, region 3 and Manila.
