TARLAC CITY (PIA) -- Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a road concreting project in Concepcion, Tarlac.
 
Implemented by Tarlac 2nd District Engineering Office, the concreting of the 823-lineal meter road worth P12 million which was funded under FY 2022 General Appropriations Act.
 
“This will greatly improve the mobility of those living in the agricultural barangays of San Martin and Lilibangan,” District Engineer Hermon Ines said.
 
Prior to the implementation of this project, residents were used to traveling the dirt roads that are almost impassable during the rainy season.
 
“Residents also claimed that the unpaved roads are dangerous to motorists because they become slippery during the rainy season while the dust makes these unpaved roads difficult to navigate during the summer,” Ines shared
 
With the new paved road, residents of the two barangays will experience safer and more convenient travel while farmers can now deliver their agricultural products at any time. (CLJD-PIA 3)
