TARLAC CITY (PIA) -- Don Bosco Cresendo Campus will soon rise in barangay Central, Tarlac City. 
 
First phase of the project includes a Senior High School (SHS) Building, which will begin construction this July.
 
“This campus will become the seedbed for youth servant-leaders who can be catalysts for change, and [can] further contribute to social transformation. God willing, we will be ready to serve SHS students starting the third quarter of 2023,” Don Bosco Technical Institute (DBTI) Rector Father Jerry Santos said. 
 
This would enable DBTI to expand its reach of service of Salesian education, and to collaborate with Ayala Land in promoting employment, education, enterprise and a balanced way of life to young people, which are the future and the now of the country. 
 
Additionally, DBTI targets to offer Technical-Vocational Education and Training upon the realization of a building for it by 2025.  
 
“This would allow us to meet the demand for skilled workforce brought about by the sustained development and economic growth not only in the province of Tarlac but by the whole Central Luzon,” he noted. 
 
For his part, Ayala Land Inc. Project Development Head John Estacio said his company believes in the power of education as a socio-economic equalizer, and in its role in building the foundation for people to flourish personally and professionally. 
 
Don Bosco’s vision aligns with their goal of creating an environment of quality and holistic learning in Cresendo. 
 
“I’m confident [that] Don Bosco will make the most of its opportunity to be of greater service to the community, and to continue to grow from strength to strength. We are excited to be part of this history, and to be able to provide service to the people of Tarlac,” Estacio furthered.
 
Meanwhile, Mayor Cristy Angeles welcomed the project as a key in making Tarlac City a center for academic excellence in the region. 
 
“For years, we have been looking forward to this new development because it is expected to usher in a new era of growth and progress. This development is a clear sign of a growing and dynamic local economy as well as an indication of the trust and confidence of investors in our good, transparent and accountable governance,” she said. 
 
Aside from the SHS and TVET buildings, the six-hectare campus will also have a chapel, student center, gymnasium, and an open football field. (CLJD/TJBM-PIA 3)
