30 ambulant vendors benefit from DOLE’s Nego-Kart

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - A total of 30 ambulant vendors from different barangays of Cauayan City became beneficiaries of the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) Negosyo sa Kariton or Nego-Kart livelihood package.

The Nego-Kart livelihood package distribution to Cauayeno beneficiaries was led by DOLE Isabela Field Office head Evelyn Yango and was held at the F.N. Dy Coliseum.

At least 30 Nego-Karts including raw materials and other products were handed to the donees The distribution was witnessed by LGU Cauayan City officials led by Vice Mayor Leoncio Darlin Jr.

According to Yango, a total of P900,000 worth of livelihood packages were distributed.

“While the threat of Covid-19 still lingers in the country, the DOLE did not stop to help the informal sectors in the province and it continuously provides livelihood to Isabelenos,” She said.

The Negosyo sa Kariton (Nego-Kart) project is one of the DOLE’s priority projects, which is intended to provide decent livelihood mainly for marginal workers in the country’s informal sector, specifically the ambulant workers in major cities of the country. (JKC/MGE / PIA Isabela)
