TARLAC CITY (PIA) -- Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a covered court in barangay Villa in Moncada, Tarlac.
 
Implemented by Tarlac 1st District Engineering Office, the P4.8 million infrastructure will provide a safe and secure place for sports, educational, and recreational activities.
 
“We support the implementation of this type of project which increases the ability of each barangay to hold events that will promote public interest,” District Engineer Neil Farala said.
 
Punong Barangay June Agapay thanked DPWH for implementing the project.
 
“This covered court is a big help to our kabarangays since it can also be used as an alternative venue for school and church activities and as an evacuation center,” the official said.
 
Completed ahead of schedule, the facility was funded under the 2022 General Appropriations Act. (CLJD-PIA 3)
