TARLAC CITY (PIA) -- Securities and Exchange Commission-Tarlac Extension Office (SEC-TEO) amplified its mandate through partnerships with national government agencies in Central Luzon.
 
This was fulfilled by signing of Memorandum of Agreement with its initial partners including Department of Agrarian Reform-Tarlac Provincial Office, Department of the Interior and Local Government Tarlac City and Gerona, Philippine Information Agency (PIA) and Philippine Statistics Authority Region 3.
 
SEC Chairperson Emilio Aquino explained the essence of partnerships in promoting financial literacy and investor protection during the SEC Campaign Network launching.
 
“SEC CApital Market Promotion and Advocacy INter-aGency Network (SEC CAMPAIGN) Network aims to promote capital market awareness in the countryside by identifying networking and linkaging as powerful strategies towards stakeholder awareness and satisfaction,” Aquino said.

In the agreement, partners committed to pursue common interests in financial literacy and investor protection by means of information dissemination, promotion, and knowledge and resource sharing. 

For his part, SEC-TEO Director Richard Laus expressed his gratitude for the support of its partners to promote financial literacy and investor protection to the public.
 
“The SEC Tarlac Extension Office is very pleased and honored to welcome our partners to the SEC Campaign Network. As investor champions that promote inclusive economic growth and investor protection, we are very grateful and we consider ourselves very fortunate for having our partners in unselfishly serving the public,” Laus said.

Moreover, Laus said he is optimistic for the expansion of these collaborations with its future partners in the coming years.

“SEC CAMPAIGN Network will solidify the existing partnerships built by SEC-TEO with various stakeholders to support its campaigns, programs and projects since its establishment in 2012,” he added.

In response, PIA Tarlac Information Center Manager Trixie Manalili recognized the importance of the collaboration in empowering Filipinos.
 
“The collaboration between PIA and SEC-TEO is a milestone in the government’s aim to deliver quality service to the public.
