SAN FERNANDO CITY, June 5 (PIA) – The Professional Regulations Commission (PRC)-Region 1, together with the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA), has continued its mobile outreach program on June 3 at the Union Christian College, this city.
The PRC mobile outreach service, which accommodates 400 to 500 transactions, is intended to decongest the regional office and enable applicants to save on travel time and expenses.
According to supervising professional regulations officer Shiela Borja, the mobile outreach program which started in 2018 helps clients access their services specially for those who are from far-flung areas.
“Ito ay makatulong din sa ating mga clients lalo na sa mga nag-aapply pa lang for examination na alam naman natin na mga wala pa silang stable na trabaho. Nahirapan sila lalo na sa malalayong lugar para magpunta sa mga regional. Kung kaya’t tayo na ang lumalapit sa kanila,” said Borja.
Also, Borja said applicants who secured online appointment prior to proceeding to the mobile service venue shall be accommodated.
“Puwede namin silang i-consider lalo na sa mga certification, kung makapag-online sila within the day, i-accommodate naman namin. Pero sa renewal of professional license, for approval pa iyon ng aming regional director,” Borja told the Philippine Information Agency.
The Professional Regulation Commission extends its operation to offer mobile outreach services on June 3 at Union Christian College, City of San Fernando.
Further, the one-day program which operated from 8:00am to 5:00pm offered services namely: initial registration for licensure examination passers, application for licensure examination, renewal of professional ID card, release of professional ID card and certificate of registration (per prior request by the professional and subject to availability), among others.
Meanwhile, the PRC team has announced its next mobile service will be held on June 22 at the Police Regional Office 1. (JCR/AMB/KJCR, PIA La Union)
