The police and army personnel together with the teachers and barangay officials also participated in a tree planting activity where 50 narra and molave seedlings were planted at the Upper Atok Elementary School.
2Lt Trishia Pascual of the 17th IB also encouraged the residents to support the government’s campaign against criminality and terrorism in the lecture on anti-terrorism awareness and Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program in relation to Executive Order No. 70 or the whole of nation approach to end local communist armed conflict.
The barangay is among the identified ELCAC areas in the province of Apayao.
Meanwhile, residents of the far-flung barangay of Dagara in Kabugao, Apayao also benefited from the PNP Outreach Program of the 2nd Apayao Provincial Mobile Fore Company last June 4.
Police personnel conducted a feeding program and free haircut for residents while school children received school supplies. They also conducted a reading session to the children.
