DTI distributes livelihood kits in San Manuel

TARLAC CITY (PIA) -- Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) distributed livelihood kits to five micro enterprises in barangay San Jacinto in San Manuel, Tarlac.

Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (NSB) program aids micro enterprises with materials to restore and improve their businesses. 

DTI OIC-Provincial Director Zaida Garibay said it aims not only to provide but also to assist micro entrepreneurs flourish.
 
“Though your businesses are small, for now, still, they greatly support our economy,” she said.
 
Sari-sari stores were identified, evaluated, and chosen through the Barangay Development Council (BDC).
 
In his message, Punong Barangay Honorato Pastor extended his gratitude to the department for choosing his constituents as beneficiaries.
 
“The business kits and seminars they will be attending in the future will definitely help them in their business,” he said.
 
Meanwhile, Municipal Administrator Manuel Barit encouraged the entrepreneurs to be persistent in their businesses.
 
“Use these business kits for your businesses to grow.  Who knows, in time, your sari-sari stores will become grocery stores,” he said.
 
Recipients will be continually provided with basic business advisory or information dissemination services for their growth and development through the BDC and Negosyo Center. (CLJD/GLSB-PIA 3)
