Quirinians urged to support President-elect BBM, VP-elect Sara

CABARROGUIS, Quirino (PIA) - - Re-elected Governor Dakila Carlo E. Cua has called on his provincemates to rally behind and give their full support to President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr and Vice President-elect Sara Duterte.

During the interview with Governor Dakila Carlo E. Cua.

In an interview during the mass oath-taking of the new and re-elected provincial and municipal officials recently, Cua has expressed full support for the call of the two highest officials of the country for the Filipinos to unite again and set aside misunderstandings brought by their conflicting views and preferences during national and local elections.

He also urged the Quirinians to heed the call of PBBM and VP Sara for national unity saying that it is time to rebuild friendships that were broken caused by the elections and bring back the unity for the attainment of a brighter future for the province.

Governor Cua stressed that he has big expectations from the next president and vice president adding that as far as he can remember, only the two got the majority of votes in the history of Philippine elections.

"One half of the Filipino voting population had chosen BBM and Sara to lead the country so that means there is a high expecation as well as trust and confidence in them," Cua added.

Cua also expressed hope that the BBM administration will prioritize programs on agriculture and energy development.

"One specific request that we ask from our president for our province is the establishment of North East Luzon Expressway," Cua said adding that the provincial government has been working for the attainment of this goal to be able to bring the province closer to the business hubs.

"We hope that the NELEX will be approved during the term of a president who comes from the north," Cua said.

Cua also said he is expecting for more support from the national government particularly on agriculture and enery development, health services, education, infrastructure and environment.

"If all of these will be given much attention in our province, they will bring a lot of improvement of our life here," Cua said. (OTB/TCB/PIA Quirino)
