SM Center Tuguegarao Downtown celebrates PH’s 124th indepedence day

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan (PIA) - - The SM Center Tuguegarao Downtown here raised a 14ft x 28ft giant flag to mark the Philippines' 124th Independence Day.

The ceremony which started with the community singing of the national anthem was attended by personnel from the Tuguegarao City Police Station headed by its chief of police, Lt. Col. Editha Narag; Tuguegarao City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office head Maria Soledad Sapp; Tuguegarao BFP Senior Inspector Jar R E. Guillano; POSU Officer Marlon Maruzzo; barangay officials of Ugac Sur, affiliates, tenants, and other agency personnel.

In his message, SM Center Tuguegarao Downtown Assistant Mall Manager Romel S. Uy highlighted that every Filipino is today's modern hero.

“Bawat araw, tayo ay nakakakita ng kagitingan …sa ating kapwa. Tayo, mga magulang, kapitbahay , maging iba pang tao na ating nakakasalamuha na nagpapamalas ng kabayanihan sa kanilang simpleng paraan", Uy said.

(Every day, we used to witness bravery, be it our parents, our neighbors and even other people whom we encounter, in their own little ways.)
