29 Bansud public schools get cement bags from OrMin LGU

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) – The provincial government on Saturday distributed bags of cement to 29 public schools in the town of Bansud.

Gov. Humerlito A. Dolor led the distribution of cement to identified school beneficiaries for the construction of school buildings and other infra projects, in preparation for the proposed opening of classes of the school year 2022-2023.

Aside from the construction materials, the local government also provided each school with personal protective kit supplies containing face masks and alcohol.

Dolor personally thanked teachers for "their enduring efforts to teach the Mangyan students how to read and write and eliminate ignorance and further develop their self-confidence in right decision-making".

The local chief executive emphasized the value of education and hard work for growth and development. The governor also expressed his desire to increase the number of teachers to be sent to the mountainous areas of the province, to provide Mangyan tribes with better access to proper education.
