TESDA-ISAT leads tree planting in San Mariano’s interior village

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority - Isabela School of Arts and Trades (TESDA - ISAT) led recently the conduct of a tree planting activity in an interior barangay of San Mariano, Isabela.


The tree planting activity is TESDA - 2’s Project ‘Nature Caregiver’ in support of the National Greening Program (NGP) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).


TESDA - ISAT Superintendent Edwin Madarang said at least 48 trainees of Shielded Metal Arc Welding and Bread making from TESDA Isabela Provincial Training Center planted Narra seedlings within the Dibuluan Elementary School compound.


“TESDA fully supports the DENR’s NGP and this activity is also in support of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC),” Madarang said.


Dibuluan is one of the interior barangays of San Mariano which was once a lair of the Communist Terrorist Groups and supporters. 


The tree planting was also participated in by LGU San Mariano through its Community Training and Employment Coordinator Cherry Shanellee L. Balisi, NCIP San Mariano Community Service Center Chief Divine L. Acoba, DTI San Mariano Negosyo Center Counsellor Leigh Nadine Go Elduca, Community Environment and Natural Resources Office represented by Ronald Ramos, 95th ‘Salaknib’ Infantry Battalion represented by Lt. Rodel Bunao, MLGOO  San Mariano represented by Geovanni Rosas, Municipal Agrarian Reform Office of San Mariano represented by Mark Anthony Robles and barangay officials of Dibuluan.
