Cagayan PNP conducts 1st KKDAT Mural Painting contest

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan (PIA) - - Members of the Kabataan Kontra sa Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) across the province gathered in front of the Cagayan Sports Complex on Saturday for the conduct of the fist ever Provincial KKDAT Mural Painting contest.

The said activity was organized by the Cagayan Police Provincial Office (CPPO) under the leadership of Provincial Director, Police Col. Renell R. Sabaldica which aimed to highlight the talents of Cagayano youth on arts while expressing their support on the government’s campaigns in ending terrorism and illegal drugs through mural.

Participants representing the 29 municipal/city police stations in the province started making their masterpieces from June 18 until June 19.

Aside from KKDAT and Tokhang responders, Guhit Pinas Cagayan Artists were also present at the event to share their knowledge in the field of art.

Police Lt. Col. Emil Pajarillo, chief of the Police Community Affairs and Development Unit, said that the CPPO is grateful to the Provincial Government of Cagayan under the leadership of Governor Manuel N. Mamba for providing funding and support to implement the two-day wall painting.

In her message, Atty. Ma. Rosario S. Mamba-Villaflor  said the PLGU has always been supportive of CPPO in its aspiration to provide opportunities that advance the interest of the youth and change the lives of reformists. (OTB/MDCT/PIA Cagayan)
