TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan (PIA) - - The local government unit (LGU) of Lal-lo has promoted inclusivity among all genders as it staged its first Pride Month celebration on June 17.
With the theme “Makibeki Ngayon, Atin ang Panahon”, the Lal-lo LGU conducted a search for Pride Month Costume/Outfit Contest for its employees bannering their own interpretation of “Wear Your Pride On your Sleeve”.
“Thanks to Ms. Bec Bautista for taking the lead in the preparations with Mr. Ian David. Thanks to our Master of Ceremonies, Mr. Brian Racuya from Lal-lo National High School. Thank you for this 1st,” Vice Mayor Ma. Olivia B. Pasucal said in a Facebook post.
The judges were: John Mark Pascual Salva, a nurse at LGU Lasam as chair of the Board; Gerwin Manuel, SK Federation President of LGU Lasam; and Monsour Espada, make-up artist, beauty queen handler and coutorier from Aparri, Cagayan.
Salva also delivered an informative message on how to avoid getting Sexually Transmitted Diseases such as human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS). (OTB/MDCT/PIA Cagayan)
