In a communication released earlier, DepEd Bicol Director Gilbert Sadsad explained that the crafting of DepEd Bicol’s Learning Recovery Plan dubbed as RAISE: R5 LRP (Recovering for Academic Achievement by Improving Instruction through Sustainable Evidence-based learning programs) was conceptualized early this year to help the learners catch up and accelerate their learning after two years of learning disruption due to COVID-19.
He added that the main goal of the LRP is not to bring all learners back to school, but to organize effective remedial learning, support learners’ well-being, train teachers, fill digital divides and equip the young learners with the skills that they need to learn.
The activity was full of energy and excitement as all the participants from the Schools Division Office (SDO) from five (5) congressional districts of the province were in Cosplay attire while they presented their LRPs on reading practices and strategies, along with LRP yell and slogan.
DepEd CamSur Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Loida N. Nidea leads the Commitment Signing by top management and stakeholders in support of the Learning Recovery Plan (LRP) of SDO Camarines Sur held during its launching on June 21, 2022 at Villa Caceres Hotel, Naga City. (JRM-PIA5/Camarines Sur)
SDS Nidea led the Pledge of Commitment signing , together with the top management , stakeholders, NGS, Cos, and partner agencies that includes; the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) – Camarines Sur, Radyo Natin Naga, Philippine Army, GMA 7, City Savings Bank, Rotary Club, among others.
Members commit to support the RAISE CAMSUR LN and the LRP of SDO CamSur, to make every learner a value-laden, grade level ready-literate, and numerate individual through competent and passionate teachers, school leaders, and stakeholders who are committed in nurturing holistically developed learners. This is also a way of readying the students to conquer the rapidly changing world.
In her closing message, SDS Nidea challenged everyone to lift a hand for the LRP of SDO Camarines Sur.
“We may have the best presentation this afternoon. We may have the strongest partners and stakeholders, but if we do not lift a hand, and lifting a hand will mean two things: - we lift a hand of a child who finds it hard to read and to understand numbers; and it could be the leaders lifting a hand to make things happen. That’s the challenge.” (PIA5/Camarines Sur)
