PAGADIAN CITY, June 24 (PIA)- The Pagadian City-Zamboanga del Sur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation, Inc. (PCZCCFI) will celebrate 2022 Business Week on July 3-8, with this year’s theme ‘The Power of Convergence”.

At a press conference held recently, Hazel Lu, president of PCZCCFI informed the public that the event will be highlighted by the following activities: praise and prayer night, biz blueprint, economy: business digitization, tourism and hospitality event, agri-forum, CEO under 40, business night, trade and exhibit-ZamboSur product expo, and 1st Pagadian events industry expo. The activities will be held at the Pagadian City covered court.

Lu said the legal basis of PCZCCFI’s celebration of Business Week is City Ordinance No. 2012-331 created and approved by the 10th City Council directing the association to celebrate and observe the business week in the first week of July of each year.

Lu added that after 2 years of celebrating business week through an online or virtual event due to the serious threat of the COVID-19 pandemic, they are now able to celebrate face-to-face.

Lu explained that the + (plus) sign attached to ‘Business Week’ in the IEC materials means that this is the first time that they will be hosting 3 events at a time.

She added that their chosen theme this year: ‘The Power of Convergence” is very appropriate because they firmly believe that the business cannot stand on its own without the cooperation of fellow entrepreneurs.

“We really need to collaborate with other businesses to become better and so that we can do more, grow and succeed,” Lu explained.

She encouraged the various industry sectors to be part of the chambers movement so that the voice of the business sector can be strong and united. (RVC/EDT/GCC/PIA Zamboanga del Sur)
