Dalipe administration assures transparent governance

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Jun 28 (PIA) – The newly elected Mayor of Zamboanga City John Dalipe emphasized during his inaugural speech on Monday, that transparency will be the top most priority of his administration.

“We aspire to build Zamboanga City that is inclusive of change, hopeful in every progress and give our best in ensuring that no Zamboangeño will be left behind,” Mayor-elect Dalipe said. 

As the new Mayor of Zamboanga, he expressed his affirmation to the City of Zamboanga that he will improve the government practices by making sure that every Zamboangueño will have the fundamental rights to be involved in the process and promises that all Government biddings for different projects in his administration will be broadcast live, in this way questionable process and over pricing issues will be eradicated.

Moreover, aside from the process of biddings, Mayor-elect Dalipe also assures the people of Zamboanga that starting on June 30, 2022, all pertinent documents will be made available to everyone during his administration.  

The administration also want to strengthen the unity of public officials and public servants in achieving transparency and Mayor-elect Dalipe stated that all department heads should attend committee meetings, sessions and other important engagement whenever they are requested to attend and to make it as their top priority.

“As I come in as the new mayor of Zamboanga City, my only appeal is for all of you to help me make our aspirations a reality. Let us come together and look at this time as an opportunity to develop Zamboanga to a different level,” he added.

Some newly elected public officials also took oath during the inauguration held on Monday (June 27) with the presence of presumptive Speaker of the 19th Congress Leyte Rep. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez.

Mayor-elect Dalipe hopes that his administration will have the most inclusive and fastest economic plan that will surely help the business sectors especially micro business owners, “we will rise better, we will rise higher,’’ he said. (RVC/EDT/MLE/GEZ/PIA9-Zamboanga City)
