LAGAWE, Ifugao(PIA)--Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) parent groups in the province received support from the government to boost the production of pesticides- free vegetables.

The Department of Agriculture-Cordillera (DA-CAR) provided gardening tools and other materials to 20 4Ps parent groups in the province to be utilized in their "Gulayan sa Barangay" for food production in the community.

Ifugao Agricultural Program Coordinator Charlemagne Monayao explained that the “Gulayan sa Barangay” is a project of DA in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development that aims to address the problem on malnutrition in the barangay.

The parents group or cluster consist of around 30 members will manage the “gulayan sa barangay” to help improve the health condition of undernourished citizens especially the children in their respective places. Other groups received the same assistance previously. (MBL, PIA CAR, Ifugao)
