LAGAWE, Ifugao June 30 (PIA) - - The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Kiangan  recently provided assistance to two groups as part of its  many social services. 

The municipal government through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office turned over   nearly Php70,000.00 worth of  catering utensils to the Fortune Women's Organization (FWO) for its food processing and production project. Said livelihood materials consisted  of  chest freezer, gas stove with tank, digital weighing scales,  stainless mixing bowls,  stainless steel baking trays,  electric meat grinder,  sets of measuring cups, kitchen knives, vats, and three cooler boxes.

FWO President Jane Tapo thanked the LGU for their continuous support to organizations. “We hope for more funding not only to our organization but also for all women's organizations in the municipality,” she added.

The LGU also turned over 75 foldable plastic tables to 15 barangay senior citizens' associations and the Kiangan Federation of Senior Citizens Association (KFSCA).

KFSCA President Remedios D. Allaga propoed for the  procurement of tables  to  pair with  the  chair allotments that are given to the different senior citizen associations.

It will also address the lack of chairs during meetings and assemblies and also serve as income generating project of the beneficiaries. (JDP/MBL- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
