QUEZON CITY, (PIA) – The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) on Thursday has introduced a mobile app that will help more Filipinos to access online skills training program.
The TESDA Online Program (TOP) Mobile App, will enhance the mobile learning experience of TOP leaners since they can access the offered courses even without an internet connection and then sync their progress when they have access.
“The TOP is a web-based platform that provides an effective and efficient way to deliver technical-vocational education and training (TVET) at the learner’s own place and time,” TESDA noted.
TESDA Secretary Isidro Lapeña clarified even with the introduction of TOP Mobile App, the learning platform can still be accessed through TOP website at https://e-tesda.gov.ph/.
“The TESDA Online Program and the TOP Mobile App have been strengthened and redesigned to better bridge the digital divide and to create a more exciting digital learning experience for our learners,” Lapeña added.
Further, TESDA now introduced courses with accessibility features that will help persons with disabilities (PWDs).
Screen-reading capabilities, Filipino Sign Language, and audio narration were integrated to TOP courses such as Food Processing NC II and Bread and Pastry Production NC II.
“Enrollees will be given a e-Certificate of Completion after finishing a course. However, only those who enroll and complete courses for full qualifications can undergo competency assessment and receive a National Certificate,” TESDA stated.
Interested learners can download the TOP Mobile App through Google Play Store and App Store. (JAFD/PIA-IDPD)
