PUERTO PRINCESA, PALAWAN, (PIA) -- Isingawa ang inaugural session ng ika-17 Sangguniang Panlunsod ng Puerto Princesa noong Hulyo 4 sa kanilang session hall sa Green City Hall Building Puerto Princesa City.

Kabilang sa pinag-usapan sa unang sesyon ay ang pag-apruba sa Resolution No. 1-2022 na may titulong “A Resolution Adopting the internal rules of procedure of the 17th Sangguniang Panlunsod of Puerto Princesa City”. Gayundin ang paghalal sa mga mamumuno at mga miyembro ng bawat komite.

Nahalal bilang Chairman Protempore si Konsehal Patrick Alex M. Hagedorn, Assistant Chairman Protempore si Konsehal Judith M. Bayron, Majority Floor Leader naman si Konsehal Feliberto Oliveros III, Assistant Majority Floor Leader si Konsehal Herbert Dilig at Minority Floor Leader si Konsehal Luis Marcaida III.

Ang Committee on Appropriation ay pamumunuan ng nagbabalik sa konseho na si Konsehal Modesto V. Rodriguez II bilang Chairman kasama ang  Committee on Good Government, Public Ethics and Accountability.

Chairman naman ng Committee on Ways and Means at Committtee on Trade, Commerce and Industry, at Committee on Human Resource Development and Organization si Konsehal Henry A. Gadiano habang Chairman ng Committee on Cooperatives and Livelihood, at Committee on Legal Matters, Committee on Transportation si Konsehal Nesario G. Awat.

Nahalal naman bilang Chairman ng Committee on Environmental Protection and Natural Resources/Waste Management, Committee on Peace and Order and Public Safety, at Committee on Landed Estate and Urban Development  si Konsehal Jimmy Carbonell.  Ang mga Committtee on Local and International Relations, Committee on Peoples Organization and Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Affairs, at Committee on Information and Communication Technology ang hahawakan ni  Konsehal Herbert S. Dilig.

Si Konsehal Patrick  Alex M. Hagedorn naman ang  Chairman ng Comitttee on Social Welfare and Community Development, Committee on Games and Amusement, at Committee on Tourism habang ang pamumuno sa mga komite ng Committee on Health and Sanitation, at Committee on Women, Child and Family Welfare ay naibigay sa first time City Councilor na si Konsehal Judith M. Bayron. Ang Committee on Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, Committee on Housing and Urban Poor, at Committee on Energy, Public Utilities and Facilities ay pamumunuan ni Konsehal Elgin Damasco habang Chairman ng Committee on Market and Slaughterhouse, at Committee on Education and Culture si Konsehal Feliberto S. Oliveros III.

Hawak naman ni Association of Barangay Captions (ABC) President/Konsehal Francisco Gabuco ang Committee on Barangay Affairs, Committee on Youth and Sports Development naman ang pamumunuan ni Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President/ Konsehal Myka Mabelle L. Magbanua at kay Indigenous People Mandatory Representative (IPMR)/Konsehal Johnmart M. Salunday ang Committee on Indigenous People and Cultural Communities.

Ang mga Committee on Labor and Employent, Committee on Infrastructure, Committee on Human Rights and Migration, Committee on Public Works and Infrastructure ang pamumunuan ng Minority Leader na si Konsehal Luis M. Marcaida III habang ang Committee of the Whole at Oversight Committee ang hahawakan ni Vice Mayor Maria Nancy M. Socrates. (MCE/PIA MIMAROPA)
