4Ps Film Fest shares stories of triumph against poverty

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- In its bid to promote and celebrate the positive gains of the breakthrough Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), the Department of Social Welfare and Development – National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) has organized a short film festival featuring the heartwarming and inspiring stories of 4Ps beneficiaries.

The “Search for the Best Stories of Change and Triumph 2022 Short Film Festival” highlighted nine (9) Pantawid Pamilya Household beneficiaries and their journey towards self-sufficiency, made possible through DSWD's landmark national poverty reduction strategy.

Through the stories of the beneficiaries, the DSWD-NCR seeks to increase positive effect and public understanding of the program's dynamics.

Moreover, the film festival showcased the creativity of the NCR Operation Office staff specifically in crafting of audio-visual production materials.

The first prize winner will be awarded P20,000, the second prize P15,000, and the third prize P5,000. Along with this, special awards will be given under the following categories: People’s Choice Award, Best Cinematography, and Best Edit.

The DSWD-NCR recently concluded the voting period for the People's Choice Award through their Facebook page.
