CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - An Agta organization in the remote village of San Mariano was a beneficiary of the government’s programs and projects under the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).

The officers and members of the Mabegsak A Magsikaw Nga Agta ti Dibuluan Association received assorted vegetable seeds, fruit tree seedlings, livestock and poultry from the Department of Agriculture region 2 under the Kabuhayan at Kaunlaran ng Kababayang Katutubo (4K) project. 

The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples and the Isabela 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, on the other hand, have turned over Project H2O, a water system project, while the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) has turned over one unit of a fishing boat.

Aside from the assistance given by the primary government agencies, the Department of Labor and Employment handed a Certificate of Registration for the association, conducted  feeding, distributed food packs and used clothes, conducted medical and dental mission, distributed slippers, 

and conducted libreng gupit and tuli to Agta residents by other government agencies including the Local Government Unit of Isabela and the municipality of San Mariano. 

The NTF - ELCAC is a convergence program of the government aimed at bringing the programs and services to rebel-infested communities urging the rebels to surrender to live a normal life and end the insurgency problem in the society. (OTB/MGE/PIA Isabela)
