Reginaldo Guillen, Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator of the National Nutrition Council, in a radio interview, said this year’s campaign aims to drive six key messages for our call to action among stakeholders.
“The key words in the theme are new normal, nutrisyon and sama-sama. The first three messages pertain to the importance of nutrition to improve an individual’s resistance against disease and at the same time with improved nutrition, the recovery of a family, community and the nation will be supported,” Guillen said.
He also disclosed the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on nutrition which include, likely increase in malnutrition, it has caused disruptions in delivery and uptake of nutrition services, the pandemic
