MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)—Noting all his commendable involvement and support for the entire province of Lanao del Sur and the Bangsamoro region in general, the provincial government here delivered its sincerest appreciation to Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri who was known to have championed the Bangsamoro cause for a long time.
During the mass oath-taking of officials which was graced by Zubiri, Lanao del Sur 1st District Representative Congressman Ziaur-Rahman Alonto Adiong emphasized how noteworthy it was to mention their guest of honor who has been their friend, the voice of Mindanao, and the brother of all Bangsamoro people.
Adiong detailed that Zubiri has been seen aiding the region and the province with his passage of the Bangsamoro Law, the extension of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), and the enactment of the Marawi Compensation Bill.
“Senator Migz Zubiri has indeed shown his dedication to this cause and consistently presented himself as an ally, and a true voice of Mindanao during the 18th Congress. Maraming maraming salamat po [Thank you, thank you so much],” he said.
Adiong added that Zubiri’s presence significantly contributed to the peace and progress of their place.
Butig Municipal Mayor Dimnatar Pansar likewise lauded the Senator for the sponsorship of various legislations that benefited the population of his region.
“Our guest of honor is a champion of the Bangsamoro cause. Maraming salamat po [Thank you so much],” he said.
Seeing the value of the help given to their communities, the local officials of the province hoped that the same care of Zubiri would be maintained in the future days to come.
“Nawa’y patuloy niyo kaming sundan at suportahan sa aming paglalakbay tungo sa pag-unlad ng aming probinsya at pagpapalaganap ng kapayapaan sa rehiyon [Hopefully, you will continue to follow us, and support our journey towards the improvement of our province and stretching peace in our region]. Thank you Senator Migz Zubiri for reminding the old country that the Bangsamoro cause is not just a part or an exclusive concern of Mindanao but a part of our evolving national country,” said Adiong.
