Massin bridge in Solana completed

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan (PIA) - - The construction of the Massin Bridge in Iraga, Solana town was already completed.

The bridge, which was constructed by the Department of Public Works and Highways, is worth P65 million.  It connects Barangays of Iraga and Maguirig and serves also as an access road for the nearby barangays in the north to the western sides of the town.

The Massin Bridge in Solana, Cagayan was constructed through the initiative of 3rd District Representative Joseph Lara.

After the completion, Cagayan third district Representative Joseph "Jojo" Lara, the proponent, visited the project to personally assess its durability as it is now open for public use.

Lara said the bridge will definitely benefit the people in the area as it is expected to aid faster and shorter travel time, especially the farmers and commuters.

He also said that the project is very timely for the students who will soon be going to their schools as face-to-face classes will expect to be implemented in the next school calendar days.

It is also located near the soon-to-open Cagayan State University- Solana campus.

"The 30 to 40 minutes travel time from Solana west like in Barangays Calillauan, Lannig, Maguirig, Cadaanan, Sampaguita and other barangays going to CSU Solana will now be 10 to 15 minutes only," Lara said. (OTB/PIA Cagayan)
