BASCO, Batanes (PIA) - - During her first consultative meeting to the newly elected mayors and vice mayors of the six municipalities of this province, Governor Marilou H. Cayco, in  her third term, ensured the provision of necessary assistance and support for the provincial government to all municipal Local Government Units for the benefit and welfare of their constituents.

According to Provincial Information Officer Justinne Socito, Cayco said the provincial government will continue to provide P5 million share for each municipality from the 20% Development Fund of the province every year. 

The governor also ensured  support on solid waste management, water supply, food sufficiency, employment as well as tourism development.

Socito said consultative meetings are conducted every quarter to efficiently address various issues and concerns, and to ensure continuous and efficient delivery of government services and programs. 

This time the governor included all vice mayors to ensure harmonious implementation of all programs and services, comprehensively address issues and concerns, and emphasize unity between the executive and legislative branches of local governments.
