Ifugao workers plant 500 assorted seedlings

LAGAWE, Ifugao (PIA) - - About 500 assorted seedling of Mahogani, Molave and “Palayon” trees were planted at Payawan in observance of the National Disaster Risk Reduction  and the Police Community Relations Month. 


Employees from the provincial local government unit (PLGU), Ifugao State University, Red Cross Ifugao Chapter, uniformed personnel and Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo members participated in the tree planting activity.


The PLGU- sponsored activity showcased the convergence of different agencies for the continued task of sustaining environmental awareness, protection, and nature preservation for future generation.


Ifugao Police Provincial Office stated that truly, a safe place to live and work cannot be achieved without environmental protection and preservation. 


“This gigantic task of protecting mother earth also reinforces the advocacy of the Philippine National Police's Core Values under "MAKAKALIKASAN", which supports the government’s action for ecological stability,” it added. (JDP/MBL- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
