"Reading is a key to our future that needs to be developed among our learners with passion and dedication," Paoad ES Principal Nora Suaking said  as she stressed that reading is a skill that can be developed over time.

Education Program Supervisor in Filipino Norbert Lartec said that based on their data, numerous learners in the province have a difficulty in reading.

"Many of our learners are still struggling when it comes to reading.

With the introduction of the two projects, Lartec said that learners will be guided in reading comprehension and writing as well namely READATHON, Read to Write, DEAR Project, Project Carousel, among others.

During the launching, Mayor Armando Lauro led the story reading to some learners as he emphasized the resiliency of concerned stakeholders especially in sustaining the continuity of education. (JDP/DEG-PIA CAR)
