ROXAS CITY, Capiz (PIA) – At least six Roxas City-based employers were served notices and reminded by the Social Security System (SSS) on their obligation to register their business as well as settle unpaid contributions during a Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) campaign, July 20, here.
“Our purpose is to inform our employers and remind them of their obligations so that their employees will get their benefits with the SSS,” said SSS Visayas West 2 acting vice-president Angelo Blancaver during a briefing on selected local media practitioners before the visit to target employers.

Blancaver led the RACE team that also included SSS Western Visayas 2 Legal Division head lawyer Bernardo Dofitas, SSS Roxas Branch Acting Head Lea Hilot and some local mediamen, among others.
During the campaign, the team also introduced the Pandemic Relief and Restructuring Program 3 (PRRP 3) or the Enhanced Installment Payment Program which allows qualified employers to conveniently pay on installment basis their unpaid contributions as part of the SSS open door policy on the settlement of delinquencies. The availment period for PRRP 3 will run until November 22, 2022.
The same activity was conducted last March this year to at least five employers in the city.
RACE is a nationwide campaign which aims to exact the continuous compliance of delinquent employers with their statutory obligations under Republic Act No. 11199 or the Social Security Act of 2018.
It also wants to ensure the social security coverage of members and enhance SSS’ collection efficiency. (JBG/AAL/PIA Capiz)
