One of the beneficiaries of DOST programs for the MSMEs is the Zam’s Delight Kalamansi Juice production business of Sheryl Candido that continuously grow and now supplying products in other cities outside Zamboanga City.

The business is interested in zero waste management from their production, which they intended to learn from the two-day write-shop of DOST Research and Development Ideation and Science 4 Change Program (S4CP) proposal in Zamboanga City from July 25 to 26.

“DOST have been helping us since we started, and we continue to ask their assistance to improve our production and promotion through research and development,” Candido said.

The S4CP aims to make MSMEs nationwide aware of the funding opportunities from DOST and to provide venue for private companies to present updates of research and development, especially in manufacturing, food processing, and agriculture.

“We encourage business enterprises to conduct research and development to be more competitive in the market,” Ma. Anya Yasmin Roslin, head of DOST S4CP said.
