CALOOCAN CITY, (PIA) – The Quezon City government is offering free maintenance medicines for persons with disabilities (PWDs) suffering from mental health problems.
In an advisory on Monday, the local government of Quezon City announced that PWDs can now get their free medications for mental wellness from the nearest health center.
"Sa mga Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) na nangangailangan ng maintenance medicine para sa kanilang mental health conditions, dalhin ang reseta sa pinakamalapit na Health Center sa inyong Barangay upang makakuha ng gamot," said the QC LGU.
The medicines offered for free are: Clozapine 100 mg tablets; Biperiden 2 mg tablets; Chlorpromazine 100 mg tablet; Lithium Carbonate 450 mg tablets; Sertraline 50 mg tablets; Escitalophram Oxalate 10 mg tablets; Quetiapine 200 mg tablets; and Valproic acid tablets.
The advisory also said that those seeking medical consultations can send a message to the Facebook account of the Quezon City General Hospital Psychiatry Department. (QC PAISD/PIA-NCR)
