BFP holds seminar for firefighters in Pangasinan

DAGUPAN CITY (PIA) – The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Pangasinan, in partnership with Home Court Artistry (HCA) Production, conducted a seminar recently for over 40 personnel from various cities and municipalities who are handling their social media pages.

The seminar, which was held at the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office in Lingayen town, aims to enhance the knowledge of participants for the efficient handling of their social media pages.

Chief Inspector Bryan Pocyao, acting provincial fire director, said this activity will help them become more effective in disseminating information on fire prevention as well as fire safety programs to the public.

This way, the BFP can reach out to communities to encourage groups and individuals to be part of the bureau’s mandate in saving lives and properties.

Among the resource speakers were staff from the Philippine Information Agency-Pangasinan Information Center who discussed basic news writing and basic editing cum audio-visual content creation, respectively.

On the other hand, Ahikam Pasion, reporter and announcer from DWCM Aksyon Radyo Pangasinan, tackled the basics of radio broadcasting. (JCR/AMB/PIA Pangasinan)
