SSS holds RACE campaign in 10 establishments in Iligan

ILIGAN CITY (PIA)--The Social Security System (SSS) Iligan Branch conducted visits to 10 business establishments in the city that failed to settle their employees’ premium contributions during its Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) campaign on August 9.

Among the establishments are hardware store, security agency, junkshop, barbershop, and restaurant. Violations committed by the employers are non-registration with the SSS, non-reporting and non-remittance of contributions.

“Kining Run After Contributions Evaders Campaign, dili siya run per se, mubisita lang ta nila. Ato sila pahimagnuan ilang tumanon ang balaod, legal obligation sa SSS, pagreport sa establishment, pagreport sa ilang empleyado for SSS membership, pagremit sa contribution og accurate reporting sa income sa ilang empleyado,” said SSS Iligan Branch Head Cheryl Jariol.

This Run After Contributions Evaders Campaign is not a run per se, we are just going to visit them. We will remind them to obey the law, and their legal obligation of SSS, that they need to report their establishment and their employees for SSS membership, remittance of contribution and accurate reporting of their employee's income.]

Meanwhile, Lawyer Virgilio Galarrita, Jr. of Mindanao North Legal Department, said that RACE is a program that goes the extra mile for the benefit of both clientele, employers and employees.

The campaign also raises awareness of the Pandemic Relief and Restructuring Program 3 of SSS to settle the obligations of the employers conveniently. This program is offered to registered business and household employers who are incapable of paying their delinquencies in full and/or have no other means to immediately settle their obligations to SSS.
