BAGUIO CITY (PIA) -- The Regional Awards Committee interviewed and evaluated the four entries for the Regional Search for Natatanging Pamilyang Pilipino in line with the Family Month celebration this September.

 
 The entries include three families from Baguio City (Adjaro Family, Dela Cruz Family, Mayos Family) and one from Tuba, Benguet (Juan Family). The Mayos Family, however, was not able to show up during the interview at the Department of Social Welfare and Development -CAR Training Center in Baguio City last August 5.

"This is in preparation for the Family Month on September. Whoever is going to win is going to be presented sa national search," said DSWD-CAR Assistant Regional Director  for Operations Amelyn Cabrera.
 
The search aims to celebrate and honor the Filipino Family and its contribution to nation-building confirming its role as the foundation of the Philippine society.
 
It also highlights the stability, quality of life, health, peace and order within the families.
 
Winners of the search will be awarded during the National Family Week celebration in September 2022. The regional awardee will receive certificate/plaque of recognition and cash incentive of P10,000 while the national champion will receive P50,000.
 
The winners will serve as ambassadors to promote the objectives of the National Committee on the Filipino Family and other family development- related initiatives, and  as resource persons on family development sessions, fora, and other activities of the committee.
 
The panelists during the interview and deliberation are  focal persons of the DSWD-CAR, Department of the Interior and Local Government, National Economic and Development Authority and Philippine Information Agency. (JDP/DEG-PIA CAR)
