CSC7 to award gov't frontliners in CV

CEBU CITY, Cebu, August 15 (PIA) -- As part of the month-long celebration of the 122nd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary this September, the Civil Service Commission Region 7 (CSC7) will conduct its 2nd year of "Appreciation Program for Government Frontliners and Workers".

This activity seeks to honor government frontliners and workers in Region 7 for their priceless contributions in mitigating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is also a way to recognize and show appreciation to government agencies for demonstrating resiliency during the pandemic.

A total of 29 government agencies in Central Visayas will be awarded with Certificates of Appreciation.

The awardees will be determined by the following criteria;

  • Fight against COVID-19 - refers to the percentage of government employees who have received vaccinations and boosters.
  • Innovations- refers to the innovative strategies of government agencies to cope with the pandemic and its significant impact.
  • Best Practices - refers to government agencies' success stories and best practices during the pandemic.

CSC7 has encouraged government agencies across the region to submit their respective entries and participate in the search for exemplary and resilient government agencies.

The CSC field offices will forward to the CSC7 regional office the list of agencies to be awarded together with the corresponding updated official logo and 1-2 minute Audio Visual Presentations (AVPs) highlighting their pandemic recovery programs, top strategies, and best practices.

The Certificates of Appreciation for the chosen government agencies will be presented through Zoom and the Civil Service Commission's Official Facebook Page on Sept. 28 at 9:00 a.m. (RGC/PIA7)
