He reminded them to not be contented with their performance at the moment. Instead, he urged them to motivate themselves to attain more and more in a daily basis.
Further, he said, “All personnel must excel and grow into a formidable force capable of serving the public in variety of capacities that will have an impact in our crime prevention function. The police must obey the law while enforcing the law.”
Meanwhile, outgoing PD Doromal thanked everyone in the province who supported him during his service in Ilocos Sur and emphasized that language was not a barrier to him being a non-Ilocano speaker, rather he used the language of the Philippine National Police—service.
He said, “Service bridges territorial and regional gaps, true enough naging Ilocos Surian ako. Sa aking 10 months and one year (as provincial director) I felt your sincerity and I wish to reciprocate the same genuine attitude, agyamanak unay. I am extremely grateful.”
Moreover, among the guests who witnessed the turnover were Ilocos Sur Governor Jeremias "Jerry" Singson, PRO1 key officials, provincial board members, local chief executives, families of the incoming and outgoing provincial directors, chiefs of police, and others.
PRO1 director PBGEN Tamayo also awarded the Medalya ng Pambihirang Paglilingkod to PCOL Doromal.
Likewise, three deserving PNP personnel were also presented with awards, namely Deputy Provincial Director for Operations Police Lieutenant Colonel Honesto T. Lazo, Nagbukel town Chief of Police Police Lieutenant Daniel John Cudiamat, and Police Captain Lieutenant Melvin Manzano.
The ISPPO, in partnership with the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur, also distributed 115 food packs to indigent residents from the different barangays in Bantay town.
