SDO Cauayan City is prepared for opening of classes

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - The Department of Education (DepEd) Schools Division of Cauayan City has expressed its readiness in accepting learners for the face-to-face classes beginning August 22, 2022.

The preparedness of SDO Cauayan was assured by the education officials after the conduct of the Education Summit attended by various stakeholders. 

Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Alfredo Gumaru Jr. of SDO Cauayan City said school facilities were already in place in 80 elementary and secondary schools in the city.

Gumaru said that strict observance of minimum health protocols will also be implemented.

“After more than 2 years of blended learning, the DepEd will now allow the face-to-face classes and we will abide by the minimum health protocols inside the school premises,” Gumaru said.

He said there were already 15, 301 learners in the public schools vaccinated against Covid-19 wherein 4, 736 are in elementary, 7, 462 Junior High Schools and 3, 106 Senior High Schools.

In the private schools, 3, 298 were vaccinated wherein 560 are in elementary, 1, 512 in Junior High Schools and 1, 153  Senior High Schools.
