BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is set to provide assistance to Indigenous Peoples livelihood organizations in Ambaguio town.
Elizabeth Martinez, DOLE Nueva Vizcaya District Office chief, said the livelihood assistance will be given to community associations in barangay Camadag, Ammoeg, Napo and Dulli.
“The livelihood projects which will be given are livelihood kits for hog raising, butchering and selling, agricultural inputs and rice retailing projects,” she said.
Martinez bared the projects for Ambaguio barangays during the IP Congress at the Nueva Vizcaya Convention Center initiated by the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP).
She said the livelihood kits worth P1.125 million is part of the agency’s support to the National Task Force (NTF) - End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC).
