BALANGA CITY (PIA) -- Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a farm-to-market road (FMR) in Abucay, Bataan.
 
The concreting of the 2.33-kilometer infrastructure in barangay Salian is expected to contribute greatly to the main sub-sector of the town’s economy which is agriculture.
 
“FMRs are essential in helping farmers achieve their growth potential,” DPWH Bataan 1st District Engineer Erlindo Flores Jr. emphasized.
 
“This will allow them to efficiently transport their products to major markets within and outside Bataan,” he furthered.
 
The project will also bring convenience to residents as it will reduce travel time and make their journey safer. It was implemented under the Convergence Program of DPWH and Department of Agriculture. (CLJD-PIA 3)
