ROXAS CITY, Capiz (PIA) – Four sites in Capiz were named by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Regional Office 6 for its educational assistance assessment and pay out on August 27 for the qualified beneficiaries in the province.
These are the Capiz Gym in the Villareal stadium here and the covered gyms of President Roxas, Cuartero and Sigma towns.
“Be at the venue if you received a text or email from the DSWD,” said a DSWD 6 advisory, stressing that walk-in transactions are not allowed to avoid drawing huge crowds like those that trooped at the stadium last Aug. 20.

The advisory added that the beneficiaries must bring their own ball pen, food and water and must wear a face mask as well as observe the other minimum public health protocols in transacting for the financial aid.
Based on DSWD 6 records, a total of P4.7-million were released by the agency to 957 students in crisis in the province last Aug. 20.
Qualified to receive the educational aid are the breadwinners; working students; orphaned; abandoned and or living with their relatives; children of solo parents;
parents with no work or Overseas Filipinos; Persons with Disability who are in crisis situation; children of rebel returnees; persons deprived of liberty; children with HIV or children of HIV victims; victims of abuse or displacement; or victims of human-induced crisis or natural calamities.
