BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - The Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) has vowed a funding for the development of Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) and a bridge in Ambaguio town.
National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP) Commissioner Simplicia Hagada said the OPAPP has recently vowed P135 million to boost the economic condition and improve the lives of IP villagers in barangay Camandag and its neighboring barangays.
“The development of FMRs in IP communities is needed to uplift the lives of our IP villagers,” she said.
Hagada said the NCIP is currently collaborating with other government agencies to bring in the needed programs, projects and activities in IP communities to address the decades-long insurgency in the country.
The NCIP is leading the IP Congress here with the advocacy that focuses on the Healing, Reconciliation and Operationalizing the 11 Building Blocks in the Ancestral Domain in support of the Whole of Government/Nation Approach by Empowering the Former Rebels (FRs), IP Youth and IP Leaders, among others in Nueva Vizcaya .
