CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga (PIA) -- The City Veterinary Office has catered to more than 12,000 livestock under its Veterinary Medical Mission Program in the first half of the year.
Carmen Wanas, Acting City Veterinary Officer, reported the CVO reached out to far-flung areas delivering vaccination, castration, deworming, consultation and treatment, distribution of vitamins and medicines and lectures on responsible pet handling.
The office also gives artificial insemination to large cattle under its Genetic Improvement Program. For the period, 43 carabaos and 13 cows have successfully received hybrid insemination.
As support, large cattle owners are provided technical assistance on ranch and farm management standards.
Wanas said their office is also open for walk-in services to clients within the city proper. (LL—PIA CAR, Kalinga)
